The answer is: D

The incidence of adverse reactions with administration of prednisone is related to dosage and duration. Psychoses, peptic ulceration with or without hemorrhage (possibly leading to guaiac-positive stools), increased susceptibility to infection, edema, osteoporosis, myopathy, and hypokalemic alkalosis can occur. Other adverse reactions include cataracts, hyperglycemia, arrest of growth in children, and iatrogenic Cushing's syndrome. The glucocorticoids are very effective drugs, but they can be very dangerous if not properly administered to a patient.
