They say I need to master step 2 notes for step 3, but I have the notes from 2003, should I get updated notes or those are fine.

Nothing much has been changed.
Read your CK books, look up CMDT/CDC for latest preventive recommendations etc. Moreover, you will get updated info (if any) while you do online UW. Good luck.
