what is the right thing to do after application/IV - mardigras

hey guys,
i have not received any IV yet..........was just wondering, is there any format as to what to do after getting an iv............do we email them saying thankyou?...........also do we email the co-ordinators right now as a follow up after the application requesting them to consider the application..........
any one with any experience or any suggestions.......
