I was applying for anesthesia categorical only. Now it seems that my chances is very low. Do you think it's too late to apply surgical prelim?

Please any kind soul can help?

BTW, is transitional year is the same as surgical prelim? on ERAS I could only see transitional year but no surgical prelim at all. please help.
