Mine is getting expired on 3 march and i want to extend it further as i have a Research post and they are also willing to keep me

yup...best idea is to get a canadian visa and hop into canada for a week or two,provided u have a multiple entry US visa

No need for that.
Just file an extension for your I 94. All deatils are there on the website at www.uscis.gov.
