so you only failed in 1 part? It is not a failure! I failed in 2 parts in both of my previous attempts but did not hesitate to take it for the third time. Never lose your faith and never give up!

peace4all , i feel what you have right now because i failed before , get sad as much as you can,and let your depression go to its maximum degree.
but after that go back to work.
you will used to the new situation after 3 days, but becareful ,when doing test again ,people who fail ,fail in something different from first time.
good bless you

I don't think you fail ICE by just failing Patient Notes. ICE is an average of both PN and Data Gathering. There are people who pass ICE even with failing Patient Notes. They pass because their Data Gathering is solid and that is enough to pull them through.

When you pointed that - I rechecked my score report. It shows ICE (above and below the brderline), data gathering also above and below the borderline BUT patient notes all below the border line. I guess, what you are saying could be true, but probably my patient notes were so poor that they even pulled down data gathering element.
I had hand written my notes - could that be a reason ??

Typing could help you next time around if your hand written notes were that horrible (meaning writing on the margins, crossing out, illegible etc). Also, how many ddx and workup did you have? Did they match up with your PE? For example, one guy wrote hyperthyrodism as his ddx with TSH as his workup, but failed to put anything about a neck examination on the PE part! Did you follow First Aid written notes? Patient Notes is one of the hardest thing to improve. Since your Data Gathering is both above/below borderline, I would focus more on that.
