hematin and glucose is the rx for acute intermittent porphyria....can anyone plzz explain this treatment regimen....ur ans would highly be appreciated..

heme suppress -----delta ALA synthase activity;which rate limiting step enzyme.so inhibits below the reaction in porphyria synthesis-------FEEDBACK inhibition

heme suppresses or inhibits d-ala synthase can be understood but how does glucose inhibit ala synthase...plzz explain a lil more....
