a, b , and d all supplied by cutaneous branches either from sciatic nerve or by branbhes from tibial and/or common peroneal!!
so why cant it be "b" and "d" as well?
hypertrophied pyriformis would rather involve common peroneal part of sciatic nerve and thus involve the lateral part of the leg!!

drpanchet what ur saying is true but then after coming out of the pyriformis the sciatic divides..so after hypertrophy the first nerve to get affected will be the sciatic

in some ppl common peroneal part of the sciatic nerve goes thru thje piriformis , hence hypertrophy of piriformis effects common peroneal part of the sciatic nerve

Hi folks USMLE Road Map says ans is b lateral leg caused by compression of the common peroneal n that occassionally goes through the piriformis instead of below it with the tibial nerve

u r right.in Kaplan anatomy also says ans s B>lateral leg.
i am bit confused
