No, it isn't cool! Mahatma Gandhi is a western propaganda!! We take things as the British-Americans want us to take it! An Indian becomes famous when the west makes him famous. And west only makes those Indians famous that come handy and useful for them. Mumbai slums are very romantic and very famous now after slumdog millionaire!! Everything the west makes famous doesn't necessarily represent the best of India. But we will continue to rely on them for many more millenia to come while treating fellow Indians as mere 'gali ka kutta'!!! Great Indian attitude!!!!!!!!

i thought i will not reply you.

but at last i'm replying.
Gandhiji's work needs for anybodies approval!!!!!!

and if google/others remember him, that means 'west only makes those Indians famous that come handy and useful for them' --- yes, if they feel his work is useful-- that would be great for world -- war less world, a peaceful world!!

wholeday whenever i opened google (homepage), i saw him, remembered him and my 8 yrs kid who is growing here also thought about him and even we talked about him for a while.

Now say me what do you think????

By the way, i'm not Indian.

You still believe in that kind of crap because you are not an Indian. You have known Gandhi as the western propaganda has wanted you to know him. Don't fall for that trap of western propaganda machinery. It's very useful, very effective and trust me it can make you believe anything that they want you to!! Mahatma Gandhi was a shrewd politician, I'd say the shrewdest that the history has ever known! And he was the most polished actor of exceptional standards. He was an honest man, he had conviction and courage, sincere to backbone, but the western depiction of Gandhi as the veritable Buddha walking in flesh and blood on planet earth, that makes me sick!! But like it or not, he is undoubtedly the most successful Indian brand name even today!!
