67 yr old,diabetic complaints of rt sided weakness since awakening in the morning,BP is 170/95.speeach is dysarthric,language function is normal,unable to move rt upper and lower limb,hyperreflexia on rt side and babiniski sign is positve on rt side.sensation is intact,cranial nerve intact except weakness of the lower face on rt side.

it must b F.
how can it be C??brain stem will have other features too depending upon the level it gets involved
i wud go for IC-pure motor paralysis along with UMN lesion of facial nerve.

i know the given key in NBME 3 says brainstem as the answer..can any1 explain whats the reason.
