beyond what respiratory rate would you consider intubation in an emergent situation?
I know you will intubate if the person is unresponsive but does intubation become a priority when a person comes with altered mental status and low RR (about 7-8) or do you first give the routine thiamin, glucose and naloxone..
unresponsive you intubate first, RR13-15 you give IV cocktail, but the grey area where RR is lower which is a priority?
