WHEN U GET A PALPABLE BREAST MASS DO YOU GO FOR FIRST USG...FNA...MAMMO?

If you pt is older than 30, start with a mammogram to see if there are any other non palpable lesions...then go in for an excisional biopsy because tissue is always definitive. If the pt. is less than 30, i guess see if is firm and movable (prob fibro adenoma, u can either do an FNAC, or Ultrasound to confirm and leave it alone) and if she has a typical history of tenderness bilaterally related to menst. cycle. with lumps which seem to come and go...see if the mass goes away with the aspirations of clear fluid, and ur done.
