how does antimuscarinic cause flushing? - axeon73
#1
i'm trying to figure this out, but i can't think of a mechanism. alpha1 causes vasoconstriction, and there are beta2 receptors on smooth muscle, but they should not have a relationship to musarinic receptors. did i forget something? thanks.

M3 receptors r present on the blood vessels...which dont hav a direct innervation of parasym but they work by release of NO (vasodilator) produced by the endothelium..
only direct muscuranic agonists act on it.

I guess because parasym and sym innervation of face is cholinergic
