A 4 y.o. boy is evaluated for a possible immunodef. he has suffered of bouts of diarrhea, and upper respiratory infections. Also has shown delayed development of protective responses to the standard childhood vaccinations.
normal number of b lymphocytes with IgM, and serum levels of monomeric IgA, IgE and IgG are normal. Which of the folllowing deficiencies could account for this findings?

Answer is C.

Indeed, most patients with this defect have hypermacrobulinemia, but absence of cd40 would affect production og IgG,IgA, IgE wich in this case are nl.
