LOR....explain please! - okean

Are the writers of LOR supposed to mail them directly to ECFMG or is it okay for them to mail LOR to me so that I submit the letter to ECFMG? And what is the difference between waived and not waived LOR. Please explain or help me to find the source where I can get explanation. Thank you!

waived lor has more value. it means that you trust your writer so much for a strong lor. the programs also view it as a positive gesture. the writers usually fedex the letters directly to ecfmg.
however if u r uncertain if your writer can write you a strong letter or not, dont risk of waiving the letter.
