post menopausal women - 2ndtime
#1
I am reading about Tamoxifen. Dont you think with all its benefits on osteoporosis and CV risk reduction, it can be used as HRT in post menopausal women on regular basis? The only risk is endometrial cancer right? But you could do regular screening for that.

Regular HRT is estrogen and progesterone right? What do you think?

yes tamoxifen is SERM being used in postmenopausal for osteoporosis

Another SERM is raloxifen which is quite popular for osteoporosis too. Raloxifene has no S/E of endometrial hyperplasia

Only S/E is DVT and that too lower than regular OCP
