UV is not a thrapeutic ,it just make thymidine dimers ,in patients with defect in DNA repair (Xeroderma Pig.) they are not able to remove the thymidine dimer because their nucleotide excision repair or endonuclease do not work properly.

The 2 effects of therapeutic radiation are

1. DNA Double-strand breaks, and

2. Formation of free radicals

Let's make this more clear for everybody.

The answer here is CCCCCCC......which refers to Therapeutic Radiation

and NOT D....which refers to UV Radiation.

I hope it is clear now.
