Blood Culture Contamination - sonike65

I would like to know, what is considered a blood culture contamination because i had a hard time with a NBME Q that showed a picture of a culture and multiple choice to pick as which one is the pollutant. I would appreciate some help. Thanks !

is it the Disc pic given (if i'm not mistaken) ? then any colony that is "off the streaking tract" is the contaminant.

Do you have the pic? So, it would be D? That was the choice i picked.

if "D" colony is off the streaking tract then this is the contaminant.
