This year I've seen a lot of community based hospitals which have unbeliveble requirements, like only fresh graduates, scores above 90, etc.
For example St. Joseph Illinois.
Have 24 categ. positions, IMG friendly, not so bad hospital in great neiborhood, but still community based. How this hospital is able to get everyone with scores above 90?
1. Offer visas J1 and H1b - very smart decision to attract good applicants.
2. EXTREMLY aggressive prematch policy. 18 from 24 positions were offered as prematch last year.
3. Sending a lot of invitations.
So as result, people with good scores who could obtain a better positions in University based program ended up here. Still MD, but....
