If asked at an IV about application to other specialties, as an IMG what's the best way to answer?
Yes - giving an impression of lack commitment to specialty or despiration
No - indicating serious interest in specialty but probably telling a lie

Depends on the overlap of specialties.
Most people here tend to apply to both FM and IM progs, so there's overlapping of the adult patients, with IM focused more on inpatient care, whereas FM does more outpatient, as well as peds and obgyn.
If you applied to lets say psych and surgery... good luck explaining that one.

I would advice just "lie"..... make program feel thats all you want to do.

be honest PD are trained to read your body language if you lie they are very clever and interviewd 1000s of people for many years so..
esp if you apply for two specialty in the same hospital you dont know
do not under estimate the social media
