answer is D

frequent sites of metastasis include
the liver, lung, adrenal gland, brain, lymph nodes, and bone marrow. Although there are
many exceptions, carcinomas tend to spread by way of lymphatics, and sarcomas by way of vascular
invasion with distal spread. Because metastasis involves not only transport of tumor cells
but also successful implantation and growth in the new site, tumor cells within
vascular channels is not evidence of metastasis.
