Assuming a 28 day menstrual cycle, 3 months are substracted from - and 7 days are added to the last normal menstrual period. ps. a good menstual history is essential for calculating the estimate due date. Also adjustments must be made for cycles that are longer or shorter than 28 days by adding or substracting to the 7 days the # or days that are plus or minus 28.
