im choosing between AD or MDD
i think its major depressive......it can be treated as mentioned yrs ago...and look up the MSE...shows psychomotor retarding ........seen among depress px...
not NPH though it cause dementia but no gait n urinary incontinence....

not alzheimers -- past memory is also gone -- in alzheimer past memory is usually there and history is too short
loss of appetite / not concerned about her/ past history and successfully treated means -- it is due to depression-- my answer -- is mdd
but it is difficult to enter into mind of nbme guys-- so i think know about ecery cause mentioned above and go to exam --
if hypothyroidism was there -- this could be also the cause
do you know niacin deficiency can cause dementia -- but that is very very severe with dermatitis

so in alzheimer memory loss start w/ recent to most distant over time and is progressive development
