hi everyone....

I am an old IMG (5yrs).
Step1-224, StepCK-216, StepCS-2nd attempt
1 US Lor from private clinic.....

Just missed an opportunity to shadow in St Luke Newyork as they have cancelled my slot.
I have also applied for step 3............but now I am in dilemma as to take step 3 or not.

How useful is step 3 in getting a residency position especially with such poor credentials.

plz give your valuable opinion..........will greatly appreciate it.

your credentials are ok not poor. now for this year you can increase your lor. you have to give step 3 till nov otherwise your result wil be too late. step3 is usefull for old graduates but they have to get good scores. if you feel unprepared then don't do it.

with my experience, I felt that usce is more important than step 3. Try to get 3 us lors alongwith step 3 till oct

You MUST clear Step 3 - it will make your resume more attractive. However, remember, it is difficult to score well. So, study hard & do well
