What are my chances... - imgdoc2015
#1
Hey Everyone!

Im a carib student, Canadian citizen. I am applying for the 2015 match.
I have a average Step 1 score and my Step 2 CK I am writing next week (so my marks will come Sept 24?). My CS I am writing end of Aug so marks should come Oct 8.

I know students who have applied and made it since some programs dont take apps till Oct 1st when the MSPE letter comes in.

What do you guys say?

I am just applying for Family Medicine and Internal Medicine.

Thanks!

Just my point of view - not an expert - or a PD :-) - so decide 4 yourself

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You said avg score on step-1. Delayed Step-2 CK and no CS results when PD's download data

Need to have some strong contacts to get IVs and/or very Strong LORs with USCE
If not, prepare to come with a strong profile next year
Good Luck!

I have very strong LORS ... 6-7 of them all from Program Directors, Department Directors etc. I am doing a few observerships before the match opens at potential residency places...

Hopefully all this will make up for delay scores.

Thanks!

I would say - try your luck then.. but dont get disappointed if in case things dont work out as expected.. always there is a next chance

Should be fine, just ace CK and pass CS on first try, apply broadly, work hard this year so you dont have to reapply
