congrats.I believe you have matched into a categorical spot because for me they mentioned that i have got 1 year spot.
you are a very bright student with excellent scores who is fresh out of medical school,plus you have green card.so I dont see any reason why you wont match into categorical.the big question is WHERE.

you r welcome. from the previous post between u and juventus, I couldnt understand how can people like me go for scramble( when i have matched into a prelims).does it mean we can scramble for pgy 2.

thanks for the info sharvil. I really hope you are right. It would be wonderful if we both matched into a categorical spot. I have heard from many of my friends that it is almost impossible to match into a categorical surgery spot without doing a prelim year. So I hope we have done the impossible!

you still have a 1 year USCE so its possible for you more than for me someone without any USCE or USLOR. Lets hope for the best on match day, who knows we might have matched in the same program.......lol........

i absolutely dont know whether you can scramble for PGY2 or not in surgery, are there any PGY2 spots offered in surgery starting in the year 2007 in this match? then you can of course, otherwise not i guess. all the best.
