There is no harm in applying. But seeing a non-passing step score on any one of them is hard to over come. It questions the fact that you lack improvement. I know people say just to pass it and that is it. Sadly this was true many years ago. Having any red flag is valid reason now for PDs not to look at you as number of people applying is greater this match.
I say apply and if Step 1 and Step 2 are good go for it. You never know. And if you do get an IV mention why you did not pass and please do not I say I missed it by 1 point (just tells them you were looking to pass not score high). |
