can anybody explain what will happen when the PICA get thrombus and stroke consequences ?? nto able to memorize the area supplied by this

for posterior circulation strokes, memorizing the cranial nerves affected will help.
1) ASA- ipsilateral tongue deviation
2)PICA- hoarseness( nucleus ambiguus- CN X)
3) AICA- decreased/absent corneal reflex( CN III)
4) PCA- contralateral homonynous hemianopia with macular sparing
5) Basilar- Locked-in syndrome

AICA....> lat.pontine syndrom. ....> damage to vestibullar nuclei , principle sensory nucleus of trigeminal n ,facial nucleus ,cochlear nucleus ,contralat pain and tem of limbs and trunk.
