Kaplan Videos Question and Archer question - usmleck20
#1
I have been preparing CCS using mapping, fred software, Uworld and Archer (found 7 videos Feb 2012 workshop online totaling 11h) I have a couple of questions:

I have kaplan videos (not medquest videos) and when i open the folder I see videos presented as cases, I wanted to know if these cases are helpful for CCS or step 3 mcq. It's more than 60 hours of videos and if they are not helpful for CCS I didnt wanna waste time on them at least now.

Also for archer, I already went through the whole workshop (which its a must it explains the approach to cases very well). I noe they are offering on their website for 88 bucks 30hours worth of videos. Does anyone know if its worth buying it, what does it include? (I already did the 11hours, which include updated strategies after CCS portion changed)

I have been saving cash for Uwolrd, so I'm trying to save as much cash as the exam itself is more than $800.

Lastly for CCS someone also suggested to read Crush CCS

Thank you for any input

The one you did Archer strategies and 11 hour video should be enough. But the 30hr package has a lot more cases if you wish to learn the individualized approaches in various scenarios. Yes - it's the best. After that, you practice on UW.
I have looked at kaplan, did a couple of videos. Kaplan does not explain what's needed like sequencing, monitoring guidelines which are so important in CCS scoring. Same with UWorld, does not teach the approach. Archer addresses and demonstrates these steps very well and has good self-explanatory and self-yielding protocols. When you apply those protocols, most often you see the case requirements being met spontaneously in the background fetching you a score. CCS needs a clever approach and learning those software tricks is important.

?
If you read the explanation in ccs world and read out cases, it shows you why.
Uw ccs is enough.

Archer is overrated
