Anything missing w Agglutinins (Coombs Test)? - goodman
#1
IgG or Warm agglutinims are use in the Dx of lymphomas, drugs and autoimmune diseases such as S.L.E. (INDIRECT COOMBS)

Indirect coombs is the test of choice to detect presence of IgG (warm agglutinin) anti Rh antibody circulating in the mother's blood in a erithoblastosis fetalis case.
Direct Coombs test would be used to detemine if anti-IgG or anti-C3 antisera can agglutinate the baby's RBC in a erithoblastosis fetalis case.

IgM or Cold agglutinims are use in the Dx of Mycoplasma pneumoniae, infection or lymphomas.
