The position for a highly motivated Research Fellow is available in the Center for Cancer and Immunology Research (CCIR) at Children’s National Research Institute in Washington DC. The laboratory focuses on developing novel technologies utilizing microfluidics and nanoparticle based approaches for translational research in cancer immunotherapy.

The Research Fellow will be actively involved in advancing the ongoing projects as well as developing new hypothesis based projects and will have the opportunity to work with researchers and clinicians at the hospital with a fast-track opportunity to publish research articles.

In addition to undertaking research projects, responsibilities will include extensive grant writing and mentoring students and/or lab technicians and managing routine laboratory tasks.

Candidate should be an independent thinker with the ability to troubleshoot challenging problems with innovative ideas.

Children’s National Hospital harbors state-of-the-art research and clinical facilities with world class expertise in immunology and cancer immunotherapy. Researchers have access to all core facilities and an attractive opportunity to advance their research to pre-clinical and clinical studies.

Extensive training and research experience will be provided to the accepted candidate, however, no monetary compensation will be provided and the position will be on a full-time volunteer basis. The position is available immediately.
