Hi there italian,
Psychiatry is a very good field right now because No 1 reason malpractice insurance is not to high ( a lot of lawers have no idea of pshyciatric diseases) 2-a lot of american people are in need of pschy meds( the latest statisctics say that 1 in 3 americans is on antidepressants)3- even if you might thing that the patient flow in a private business is not to hi ( I mean when you start) you can charge more because of the specific type of treatment(pshycotherapy etc..) and the rate of insurance denials is not to hi. 4- Neuropshyciatry is brand new (experimental right now) subspecialty with a very bright future I think-this is just an opinion,it's not that i am very competent at this point,but there's a future. In all I could say that I know doctors that are doing very well, how well??-I don't know.
