looking through the programs in eras, some reqiure one of your reference to be from a professor from your medical school in the dept where you want to apply i.e. if applying for obgyn, you need a letter from a professor in that dept. form your medical school, but some other programs are not bothered with where you get the references. my problem is that i have already sent 4 references from consultants i have worked with cos im presently doing a residency in obgyn in the uk. my question is will that be ok or do i need to get references from my medical school professor for those programs.
