I need your advice on ecfmg certification----i will be taking CS next week have cleared Step1 and 2 CK and eras has recd my lors etc----i will be certified by ECFMG only after CS reults that will be oct(provided i clear)
What do you think my chances are in this situation i should still start applying?? and how do i go about--like calling prog and askin them do they req certification right away??
please i need your advice on this

I also got certified in late oct but recived most of my interviews before my certification. Infact I just recived two after my certification. As, far as which place to apply and which not, its very hard to say. Some university based programs will only consider if you certified, but in cases like you and me, even if you apply in oct after certification, by then they would have filled all the interview slots. So, its your call to apply or not to apply. Even some university programs called me before my certification, like SLU and UMKC so they will consider if you have a strong application and CAF.
