match probability? Where do you stand?? - veer

I have almost come to the end of my interview trail and based on the impression i got after talking to residents who matched there, most people managed to match in one of their top three preferred programs. Do you think the statistics are gona be similar this year? Agreed that people say that this year match is very very competitive and interview calls are few and far between, BUT programs have still called almost the same no. of applicants they always did. In other words, once you reach the interview stage, your matching chances are gona be similar to last year's! Please give your comments!

I don't think the difference between one year from the other is that big. The tendency seen last year, should be seen this year. Although I am not sure if most IMG match at their top 3 programs (AMGs do for sure).
