When can we go for J1 visa interview? - vrindavan

Is it possible for us to go for J1 visa this month or are we required to do that only in June? I received an e-mail from ECFMG mentioning that the J1 visa can only be stamped within 30days from residency starting day.....or in other words on or after 1st June.

However I'm hearing ppl going for J1 visa interviews already.......so can we go now itself and get it stamped on our passport?

You can go and get it stamped but as far as i know u can enter on J1 status only on or after june1
where are you going to get it stamped
I am waiting for my DS2019 , in how many days you got yours?
