pt after MVA who is found to have a ruptured spleen, what is next?

laparotomy and splenectomy

Evaluate to see if the patient is hemodynamically stable
Maintaining blood pressure and not tachycardic therefore suggesting there is not active bleeding then...continue to observe after having done a FAST
continue to monitor vitals and follow up with Hemoglobin and hematocrit every 4 hours

if there is any suspicion of bleeding...straight to the OR...explaratory laparotomy and splenectomy
