hyperprolactinemia inhibits pulsatile GnRH release.
TRH stimulates release of prolactin tsh...no effect hyperprolactinemia results in reduced fertility

thnx . in hypothyroidism is TRH also increased ?

if the hypothyroidism is primary, u expect TRH to be increased. this will cause prolactin to go up and thats why u have reduced fertility in these patients.

thnx again. I HAD SOME CONFUSION REGARDING TRH

T4 has negative feedback for both TSH and TRH....when T4 is low both TSH as well as TRH are elevated.
