Hey everyone....
First of all lemme tell u that i am trying for fellowship and residency. So i didnt care much for the scores. Also had given step 2 with 78 in may.
I just wanna tell that i feel is minimum and highest yield
I completed my first read in 2 months(15th may to 15 july approx). didnt go in much detail. Then in next 15 days(till 4th Aug) revised Biochem and partly micro as i hardly had understood in my first read. Aso a few concepts of Immuno.
Then took U World (on 4th AUG) for 2 months. Then did 2nd revision of every sub F/b few Q of only that sub from UW (Though this is not advised by most). But ys i took all timed tests. This gave me a better insight of the second reading. THis took around a month.
Then did U world only for around 7 days dedicated solving maximum questions.
Revised THE AREAS WHERE I WS WEAK IN MICRO AND PHARMAC (these are the 2 MOST VOLATILE SUBJECTS).
gAVE uw simulated exam on 7th Sept. Got 520/224. But as i read on form it overestimates so i delayed my date from 18th sept to 26th sept.
Then left UW almost apart from few test here and there.
TOTALLY THOROUGHLY CONCENTRATED ON KAPLAN NOTES, FA AND GOLJAN FOR NEXT 18 DAYS AND GAVE THE EXAMS ON 26TH.
THE KEY THING IS, THE KAPLAN NOTES FOR STEP 1 ARE EXCELLANT (EXCEPT PATHO - GOLJAN)
And finally gr 225/94. Almost same as UW SIM EXAM !.But yet i feel it
YET I FEEL IT OVER ESTIMATES BY 2 DIGIT SCORE OF 3 TO 5. CAUSE I LEARNED A LOT LOT LOT MORE IN THOSE LAST 18 DAYS AFTER MY TEST AND THEN I GOT THE SAME SCORE.
Also i would suggest that plan ur last reading in way that its maximally efective.
I had started MYLAST READ WITH PHYSIO (AS ITS LEAST VOLATILE AND U CAN RETAIN), THEN PATHO, THEN ANAT AND BS, THEN IMMUNO, THEN BIOCHEM, THEN MICRO AND FINALLY THE LAST 2 DAYS FOR THE MOST VOLATILE SUB PHARMAC
Well apart from all this ITS ALWAYS GODS GRACE THAT ALWAYS THERE.
Thanks you all the forum members for the support.
Now u can find me in step 3 forums. Preparing for the same.
GOODLUCK TO ALL
