do you guys have any idea about surgery-prelim, why so many unfilled positions each year? because of its competitive or less people would like to choose

very few takers for it. PGY2 is still difficult once u take the prelims. But IMGs can only get a prelim unless u r exceptional.

Thanks shankkar, how difficult? I thought once you get in residency it's a little bit easier for you to switch residency compare with before.
