knee replacement surgery DVT - cris

patient goes to knee replacement surgery.
he is taking aspirin for OA. What should be given for DVT if he doesn't want anything sc.
1aspirin
2full dose of iv heparin
3warfin
4stocking
5intermittent pneumatic compression

to m saeed: warfarin will take time to kick in so would you start 5-7 days before?...also it cant be reversed as quickly as one could with heparin rt?

heparin not work efficiently on orthopedic Surgery , so u have to use warfarin.
Correct me if I™m wrong please

if low m w heparin listed with options, u have to go with it bec it is better than warf.

Option 2 , pte has a high risk of bleeding if given both (aspirin and warfarin)

i guess both saeed and erica are right....LMW heparin ought to be the sensible one...but alas!it's not there...i'm foxed a lilltle...if u do find anything credible on this kindly share...thanks
