no... according to the key the answer is A.

I was thinking either a or e. But I went with e because TH1 is part of the viral mediated pathway. So I was thinking TNF is decrease. But after looking it up - The two branches of TH1 are IL2 and IFNy. And interferon --> Mo. And I thought Mo release IL1 and TNF. but i guess that is with bacterial. So IL2 would be the correct answer.

A

Decreaced Cd 4+---> Decreased TH1 (makes IL 2 required for cell differentiation and cloning) ------> Decreased IL2

Decreased CD4+ lymphocyte should decrease Th1 & Th2 cells, right?

Both of them are CD4+. Both Th1 & Th2 cell secrete IL-2. And Th2 plays role in class switching of antibodies.

But maybe antibodies are mainly produced from plasma cell / B cell. So ADCC may not be affected as much as IL-2.
