DDx of diverticulosis vs. angiodysplasia - atmos
#1
Please, someone

How do you distingush them only by history and physical exam?

"70yo guy came with painless massive GI bleeding.
What is the most likely Dx?"

No.1 cause of lower GI bleeding is diverticulosis, I know.
But, sometimes the answer can be angiodysplasia.

what are the clues?

best way to tell is colonoscopy otherwise both present with painless lower GI bleed
DIVETICULA---HISTORY OF LONG STANDING CONSTIPATION WILL HELP
ANGIODYSPLASIA-ASSOCIATION WITH AORTIC STENOSIS
BUT NO WAY TO TELL FROM HISTORY FOR SURE
DO COLONOSCOPY
