Canada _ is it worth? - abcpyp

hi, i am img from india 2006 grad on H4 with Step1 78, S2-83(second time)CSpasssed first time with 1yr observership in private clinics and lors from indian doctors .is it worth applying in Us for family practice with additional observ / research and S3 this september or in Canada ?please tell me if i can apply in canada with usmle scores. please help me.

no u cant apply in canada with usmle they have there own lic. exams and the canadian system is very hard to get in.

You need to be at least a Canadian resident, they don't sponsor visa. getting a residency other than Family Practice as a foreign-trained physician is extremely hard in Canada.

hi,
what if i am canadian but got my degree from another country(neither usa nor canada)...will this give me ANY benefit when applying for the match at usa???

No.

In the US you are just like any other IMG. If you did your medical school in Canada that is a different story but if you are just a canadian who did his/her med school abroad, no advantage.
