Ethics 2 - kanita

@ kanita...don dissect the question too much..you are not the one to judge competency that is the prime rule in these questions every patient is competent..competency is judged by court not doctors..and the fetus b4 delivery is a part of mother and she has the right to refuse thats it...and these are not real life issues for the exam goin to court is seldom correct and in this qs...mother has the right to refuse period..so no qs of courts

Wait a minute,
only until first trimester mother can decide for her unborn baby.
after that if the life of the baby is at stake, you have to do what's best for the baby.
roe vs wade.
so answer is try to convince mother else move court (as there is time) to allow CS
if there is no time we would go ahead with CS

@justagirl, Roe Vs Wade was an abortion issue, where a woman's right to an abortion is determined by the stage of pregnancy, and the state cannot prohibit abortion before viability. Completely different scenario here.

complete placenta previa is harm to mother more than baby!
I agree 100% that if mother wants anything regard to her pregnancy ,she is the one that we should follow.
but isn't this consider "harm to herself"?
