I have a question about visa.

Is it true that H1B is harder to find a spot in fellowship program after IM residency training?

If I will apply for H1B next year, when will the latest month that I have to take step3?

yes for your first Q. Its hard to get fellowship with H1, as of I heard.

By the time you start your residency , your step3 results should be out. So 4-6 weeks to results. Make it March - April will be your last months for step 3.
