thanks so much fr the advice.. one more Q.. when u say electives u mean while still in med school right.. but iv already grad'd.. i am currently getting some experience but could u just elaborate on what experience u mean... is OR time in these places imp or is out-patient with a surgeon affiliated to a hosp good enough..? and how does one go about getting these.... email diff places??
i know this stuff is difficult to give a definite answer to but il appreciate any input here..

Electives while ur in medschool..not really sure once u grad..but I'm sure observerships are of sumbenefit..
I spent time in the OR..but didn't fight for it..I did work ppl didn't want to do..lots of clinic..and spent time on the floor and in the unit..there's more 1on1 time with the attending there..and they appreciate that u knw surgery isn't about cutting and sewing
