pregnant pt comes and asking for risk in her baby? father is affected with x linked recessive disease..whats the ans?

Females are carriers, males are affected.

In her case a male baby will have no risk/or the same risk as general population. Female will be carrier 33% risk I guess.

I never understand this. I know I am wrongSmile. Someone correct me plz.

chance of female carrier : 100%
chance of disease ( also in males) : same as gen population

the ans is all the females will be carrier and all males will be normal.

The chance that the baby will be SICK or HAVE THE DISEASE is 0 or the same as general population. Now the female baby is carrier for sure, but not sick. The male baby is healthy. The chance that the baby is a carrier is 50%.
