Hi.
When we write thank you letters after interview, do all PC, PD, faculty and Chief residents reply back... In my case they hvnt, so wondering what is everyone's experience.

Not all programs reply. So far for me 3 interviews, 11 thank you letters and only 4 replies! It doesn't really matter one way or another in the grand scheme of things.

the reply rate is not so good. Some may reply most wont.

not many.. very few.. and few reply very late if at all.. they do

I got replies from the PDs infact one said he was very impressed with my energy and accomplishment and told me I will be a good fit for his programme and I should have them in mind for match

Some do and some dont. I think one cannot base anything on this.
Most programs are busy or think best way to deliver news is via ROL. However if you are asking for second look or adding more material to your application or in general asking for some information, I think they should respond else it may indicate lack of interest on the programs part. |
