yes, thats why u do biopsy in gastric ucler cases, to rule out CA
whereas duo ulcer does not predispose to mailg

i think ulcers that are h pylori positive predispose.
i would think that normal ulcers would too, as you would have higher cell turnover and damage nearing the basal cells increasing chances of mutation, but the above is my suggestion. GL

but boggart, Hpylori is 90% + in duo ulcer cases and 70% in gastric ulcer, so u mean duo ulcers also predispose to CA, i dont think so... what to u say?

true....the only other suggestion would be environmental situations and location of the lesions predispose to ca in the stomach and not the duo. but i doubt that.
